KRIZIA GALFO, ANDREAS SENONER – BETWEEN BODIES

April 15 – May 16, 2026

Inauguration: Wednesday, April 15, 2026, 6:30 p.m.

Candy Snake Gallery is pleased to present Between Bodies, a double solo exhibition by Andreas Senoner and Krizia Galfo. The show is part of Milan Art Week 2026.

The project brings together the two artists' research, which shares a profound focus on the body as a site of transformation, tension, and memory. Senoner's sculptures, suspended between the human and the natural, meet Galfo's pictorial portraits, constructed through close-ups and cinematic atmospheres. On display, the works delineate an intermediate territory in which identity, form, and interiority are continually redefined.

The research of Andreas Senoner (b. 1982, Bolzano, lives in Florence) focuses on the body as a living archive, traversed by processes of metamorphosis, stratification, and transformation. His sculptures, made primarily of wood and organic materials, evoke hybrid and suspended figures, poised between presence and disappearance. Through natural elements, envelopes, and forms that seem to come from an indefinite time, Senoner investigates the fragility and resistance of identity, creating works that oscillate between anthropology, biology, and symbolic imagery.

He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and at the Facultad de Bellas Artes in Valencia, specializing in wood carving at MCAD (Minneapolis, USA) with master Kinji Akagawa.

He has exhibited at Studio Museo Francesco Messina (Milan), Galleria Civica Trento, Qingdao Sculpture Art Museum (China), and Villa Torlonia (Rome). He collaborates with Galerie Sabine Bayasli (Paris), Verduyn Gallery (Moregem), and Galerie Wilms (Venlo).

He combines his exhibition activity with periods of research in artist residencies, including the Civitella Ranieri Foundation (Umbertide), Palazzo Monti (Brescia), Skaftfell Center for Visual Art (Iceland), Saffca Southern African Foundation (Brussels), KKV Luleå (Sweden).

Painting, cinema, and photography are the three main axes of Krizia Galfo's (1987, Ragusa, lives in Rome) work. Through photography and cinematic close-ups, she investigates internal dynamics and unresolved conflicts, amplifying tensions and upheavals. The oil portrait is merely a pretext: technique becomes theme, control becomes necessity. Emotion and rigidity hide in the folds and brushstrokes of which no trace remains. The pinks and purples drag the viewer into the bubble of adolescence with the cold detachment of a disenchanted adult.

His education took place between Catania, London and Rome.

Among the main exhibitions, he has exhibited at Kates-Ferri Projects (New York), Monitor Gallery (Rome), Riccardo Costantini Contemporary (Turin), Lo Magno artecontemporanea (Modica), Curva Pura (Rome), Stage Garden (Czech Republic), Il Frantoio (Capalbio), La Nuvola Gallery (Rome), Gilda Lavia Gallery (Rome), Pastificio Cerere Foundation (Rome), Struttura (Rome), 21 Gallery (Villorba), Dancing Demons (Torri in Sabina), Nero Gallery (Rome), NP ArtLab (Padua), Alessandra Bonomo Gallery (Rome), Modern Art Gallery (Rome).
